Von Bayros-designed bookplate (of an elaborately, if scantily, clad woman complete with riding crop bestride an optimistically large penis) from the erotic library of Arthur Wolf. This is copy number 15 of 25 copies bound specially at the Wiener Werkstätte. Flexible Japanese vellum gilt, yapped edges, string-tied. The strings and the very thin spine partially perished, still an attractive, very good or better example of a rare and fragile Wiener Werkstätte binding.
