[no place]: Clyde Beatty - Cole Bros. Combined Circus, [circa 1960?].

Old folds, pinpoint losses in a couple of places, three small tabs adhered to the topdge verso and a small note in ink, light general wear and a bit of light soiling at the bottom left corner, very good or better.
The Clyde Beatty - Cole Bros. Combined Circus is coming to Philadelphia. This striking poster illustrates a handsome lion-tamer (likely Clyde Beatty) entering a caged arena filled with aggressive cats, armed with only his skill and a wicker chair. The fair took place at Philadelphia's Lighthouse Field. According to the data we found, this show hit the road in 1957, and the beautifully rugged quality of the printing leads us to assume this is an early poster for this circus. A lovely poster, and in excellent, unrestored condition.
