Very good or better with light edgewear, bumped corner and mailing label with canceled stamps and "Complimentary Copy" red stamp. The debut of this magazine "dedicated to fantastic and imaginative literature" that combined equal parts mystery, adventure, and sometimes science-fiction stories, with an advertising section that appealed to pulp collectors. As with other genre publication at the time, the early issues contain little more than advertising selling for buying pulps. The issue is dedicated to Vincent Starrett who died a month before and includes a one-page article about his life and career and a house advertisement offer his last book, *Late, Later and Possibly Last Essays*.
