A small album of professional photographs from Hargrove Studio of the Mexican Border War. The album shows images of American troops at the Texas/Mexico border including mounted cavalry, covered wagons, and rows of tents at a camp. The final photo features the military band during a practice at the camp. The Border War began after the Mexican Revolution in 1910 and is referred to as “The Bandit War,” “The Border Campaign,” “The Texas Border War,” and “The Mexican Border War.” American troops were stationed along the border between Texas and Mexico to protect the United States from Mexican rebels. The conflict overlapped with World War I and these photographs appear to have been from around 1915.

A modest but interesting collection of photographs documenting troops during the Mexican Border War.
