Uncorrected Proof. String-tied signatures in unprinted wrappers. Light stain and slight crease to one corner of the front wrap, a little darkening to the extremities of the wrappers, a very good copy of this fragile construct. Van Wyck Brooks' copy with his ownership signature, titled in his hand and with some of his notes on the front wrap and a few in the text. One imagines this proof must have been produced in very small numbers and survived in even fewer, this particular copy with distinguished provenance. Short fiction by one of the most celebrated of the New York poets so important to the literary landscape during the middle of this century.
