It was the publisher's practice to issue only a small number of hardcover copies, and a larger issue of paperbound copies. This copy Inscribed by Dove, noting that fact: "To Charles - Who has one of the few hardbacks of this book! With best wishes - Rita Dove 15 Oct 89." Very uncommon.
