Spiral bound printed glossy wrappers. Small tear at the bottom of the front wrap and first few leaves, faint sticker shadow on the rear wrap, else about fine. Contains a letter of welcome from the Mayor of Philadelphia, a brief history of the city, and with much of the rest devoted to advertisements from publishers of books on African-American life and experiences.

2. *[Program]: The Association for the Study of Negro Life and History Fifty-Fifth Annual Meeting*. Octavo. 32pp. Stapled printed gray wrappers. Very faint sticker shadow on rear wrap, still fine. Program for the event with schedules, lists of participants, and commercial exhibitors. Among the participants were Herbert Aptheker, John Blassingame, St. Clair Drake, Philip S. Foner, C.L.R. James, and other noted historians.

3. *Philadelphia and Delaware Valley Boosters Welcome Delegates and Visitors to the 55th Anniversary Convention of The Association for the Study of Negro Life and History*. Octavo. [24]pp. Stapled printed yellow wrappers. Fine. Welcome messages from mostly black businesses and individuals and a list of individual boosters.

A small example of the ephemeral printed material generated for the convention of the organization founded by Carter G. Woodson and four others in 1915.
