Sold

Unbound. Albumen carte de visite of Lucy Stone. Measuring 2½" x 4¼". Corners very slightly rounded or clipped, not affecting the image, probably for inclusion in an album, a little age-toning, else a bold and clear image. Lucy Stone was an outspoken abolitionist and activist for woman's suffrage. In 1847, she was the first woman from Massachusetts to earn a college degree and is widely credited with convincing Susan B. Anthony to turn her attention to woman's rights.
