New York: Henry Holt, (1959).
Hardcover. First edition. Octavo. 227pp. Illustrated. Corners a trifle bumped else near fine in about very good dustwrapper with some scratches at the top of the front panel and small chips. The best account of the deadliest nightclub fire in history, where 492 people died. Inscribed by the author to jazz composer and piano great Erroll Garner: "For Erroll Garner, with best wishes (and always check the exits). Paul Benzaquin." A nice association and the only inscription by the author that we've seen that actually references the horrific tragedy in the inscription.
