Boston: Ticknor and Fields, 1867.
Hardcover. First edition. Octavo. 107pp. Dark green cloth stamped in gilt. Foxing on first and last couple of leaves, large but very light stain on the bottom half of the pages, else very good. Inscribed by Harriet Beecher Stowe on the front fly: "To Ellen Perkins from her affectionate friend H.B. Stowe." We have not satisfactorily identified the recipient, although it is possible that the recipient was a relative. Charlotte Perkins Gilman's father was Harriet Beecher Stowe's nephew.
