An important magazine edited by Williams that focused on the importance of American artist and their used of language distinct from Europe. Among the most notable contributors are four early chapter from Nathaniel West 1933 novel *Miss Lonelyhearts* and Williams's three-part bibliography of little magazines, with additional works from Ben Hecht, ee cummings, Rober McAlmon, S.J. Perelman, Charles Reznikoff, Louis Zukowsky, Erskine Caldwell, Nancy Cunard, James T. Ferrell, Yvor Winters, and others.
