Softcover. Two volumes. Mimeographed leaves in stapled Illustrated mimeographed wrappers. Slight toning on the pages with some tiny tears else about near fine. A pair of menus for the mess hall at Biggs Field, Texas for the months of April and May, 1942. Each volume includes daily menus for each month, with the ingredients allocated to feed 100 people at a time. Such delicacies as cabbage and pineapple salad are featured here. Biggs Field is a military airport and part of Fort Bliss military base in El Paso, Texas. According to the Texas Historical Association, "in the summer of 1942 it became headquarters of the Twentieth Bomber Command and the Sixteenth Bombardment Operational Training Wing; B-17, B-24, and B-29 crews trained there."
