An exceptionally fresh and bright copy of an uncommon title, the author's second novel (after *Junior Miss*) and her third book. The heartwarming story of a typical Midwestern family during the 1904 St. Louis Exposition, this novel was the basis for the excellent 1944 Vincente Minnelli film featuring Judy Garland and Margaret O'Brien (who won a special Oscar as the year's best child actor). The nicest copy we've seen.
