Between the Covers

Unbound. A small archive of four cabinet cards measuring 2.5" x 4". Some spotting and rubbing else very good. A collection of photographs of British nurses taken between 1890 and 1910. Each woman is photographed in her uniform, some holding medicine or implements, and all with a chain around their waist with scissors and other tools of the trade. All other the photos include studio information along the bottom edge of the photos with two of the cards including elaborate studio stamps on the versos.
