The Dedication Copy of this collection Inscribed on the dedication page to his close friend, Eudora Welty: "To Eudora Welty, These poems of mine which I hope will also be hers. William Jay Smith North Pownal, Vermont August 1957." Additionally, Welty provides a long blurb on the rear panel of the jacket. A wonderful association.
