Text of a speech read at a symposium on "Contributions of U.S. Minority Groups to the Development of Science" at the Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Chicago on December 30, 1970. Among the other members of the panel were Dr. Charles H. Wesley. Cobb was the first African-American to earn a Ph.D in anthropology. *OCLC* seems not to locate this text.
