Unbound. Collodian image on printed card with photographer's name on both front and back. Measuring 4" x 6". Slightly rubbed on the surface else near fine. Image of a mustachioed gentleman playing a banjo, with a guitar lying on a chair by his side. After working as a photographer in San Francisco for a decade, Sherriff moved to San Diego in 1876 to start his own studio. He was one of the city's leading photographers until his retirement in 1896.
