A collection of loose photographs depicting travel throughout the United States circa 1940s. The photos show a large range of destinations from government buildings to beaches with many of the captioned photographs from California and Florida. They went fishing in Florida, visited South Beach, St. Augustine, and Daytona. They included artful shots of the moon over the ocean, crashing waves, and the hotels they stayed in. One photo shows a man posed next to his bike with the caption, “on the way to Hastings,” another shows the Spear Mansion in St. Augustine under tropical foliage. While in California they went to Santa Barbara, San Gabriel Mission, and Palo Alto with photos of palm trees and ocean scenes. Other captioned photographs include a trip to Salt Lake City which an image of the Mormon Temple as well as photographs of the Rocky Mountains.
