Unbound. Albumen photograph. 6.5" x 4.5" mounted on 9" x 7" card stock. Caption in the negative lightly visible in bottom center of the image. Slightly faded in the margins, corners of the mount a little rounded, very good or better. The image apparently taken from an upper story window of an adjacent building, shows the ranks of mounted men parading in review down the main thoroughfare. Roosevelt was in the area to view the battlefields of Chickamauga, Lookout Mountain, and Missionary Ridge, where he was accompanied by the 7th Cavalry, and where he later addressed the National Convention of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen.
