Robert Welch University Summer Camp Songbook. A Collection of Favorite Songs for Young Americans

[No place: no publisher, no date - circa 1992?].

Price: $200.00

Softcover. First edition? Tall thin folio. 24pp. 4.25" x 11". Stapled decorated wrappers. Slightest soiling, fine. Mostly patriotic songs or even maudlin standards, some are satiric: following "The Ballad of the Green Berets" is "The Ballad of the Blue Berets" denigrating U.N. Peacekeeping troops, one refrain:

"Trained to sit and clean their plates
Trained to shoot when it's too late
Some are women, others gay
These rootless ones of the Blue Berets"

The date of the pamphlet is unclear, but Kofi is mentioned in the song. Presumably this was Kofi Annan, who lead the Peacekeeping force from 1992-1996. Welch was the founder of The John Birch Society. *OCLC* locates no copies.
