Crookston, Minnesota: 1934-1938.

Price: $600.00

Softcover. Octavo album. Spiral bound in flexible cloth wrappers. 121 gelatin silver images, various sizes, 3" x 4" probably being near the average. Many captioned in ink with dates and locations. The spirals are largely unspiraled, wrappers and some leaves chipped, about good; images are near fine. Album kept by a young woman, probably from Crookston, Minnesota, where many of the images are identified from, although some depict visits to realtively local areas (Bemiji, Grand Forks, N.D.) or vacations (Miami Beach and Lexington, Kentucky). The earliest images depict the compiler (usually identified as "Me") as a (probably high school) drum majorette, and later as a young wife (married to "John") and mother. Probably the largest percentage of identified images come from Crookston, and there are several images of the Crookston Pirates, a professional baseball team in the Northern League, with several players identified - it is possilbe that "John" was on the team. A pleasing albeit somewhat pedestrian album, in need of some modest preservation.
