Hardcover. Oblong folio. Hinged and screwbound decorated photo album. Hand decorated on the front board with a punch with decorative border, a heart, and the names "Gerry and Harvey". The decoration is repeated on the rear board without the names. The black album pages within contain approximately 93 gelatin silver prints, various sizes. Some images lacking, a few are damaged, internally very good; externally the album is near fine. Images are mostly portraits and candid snapshots of a fashionable young woman, probably the "Gerry" on the cover, and likely British,set in the 1920s and 30s of her family and acquaintances in what is likely the Far East. There is one postcard affixed from Singapore, and one of the portraits is set in Malang, East Java in 1933. While there are some very pleasant and attractive images, the main attraction is the rustic handmade folk art binding.
