Name ("Roderick Bissell Jones") on front wrap and title page, vertical crease, some pencil notes on a rear blank, else very good or better. Artillery was paramount in the War, and the need for Americans to accommodate themselves to both the evolving lessons of the War and to familiarize themselves with existing European artillery apparently inspired this privately printed instructional manual. Very uncommon. *OCLC* locates four copies, and no copies of any subsequent volumes.
