Hardcover. Quarto. Blue cloth three-ring binder with black album pages and clear plastic overlays. 120pp. Contents include 88 large color photographs, measuring 9½" x 6" to 8" x 10", along with a half dozen smaller approximately 3½" x 5" photos. Very good with sunning and wear to the album with tape peeling from the inside from board and small tears and nicks to the plastic overlay of several pages: most photos are fine but a few have tape residue. An unpublished photo book by Edward R. Chubb (1934-2012) of the eight-mile bicycle trip along the New Jersey Shore from Ocean Grove to Manasquan in 1978 with a "Model Release" form signed by his partner Albert Alvarez (1937-2014) who appears throughout. Following a typescript title page is a 12-page typescript copy describing the route of the bike trip, sights to look for along the way, and notable facts and history about the various shore town. The remainder of the album is filled with captioned photographs of Alvarez removing his bike from a car trunk, riding along the shore and boardwalk, and peddling by various sights, along with images of shore homes, ocean waves, beach wildlife, and people walking, fishing, and sitting by the beach, many artfully composed. A charming collection of images from the New Jersey shore of the late 1970s before overdevelopment and subsequent destruction by Hurricane Sandy.
