Between the Covers

Softcover. Uncorrected proof. Printed yellow wrappers. A couple of small ink squiggles on the front wrap, and overall soiling on the wrappers, a solid, very good copy. Laid in is a Typed Letter Signed from Knopf editor Nina Bourne to author John Cheever sending along the book, and soliciting his opinion, and hopefully, a blurb. The letter, which had been laid into the proof, and oversized, has suffered some age-toning, tears and small nicks at the extremities. A nice association copy of the proof of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Millhauser's first book.
