New York: Rieger Studio, [circa 1870].
Unbound. Cabinet card. Image size is approximately 4" x 5.25" (on approximately 5" x 7" card) with embossed mark of Rieger Studio on 3rd Avenue in New York. Small tape remnant on the verso, else fine. Portrait of four men in bib shirts, ties, and jaunty hats, with decorative canes, and elaborate metal and multi-colored silk ribbons from a fraternal, union, or vocational group. The ribbons are intriguing and can be partially read, and further investigation might rewards some effort, but we are unwilling to speculate further. Anecdotally we understand the men to be cab drivers of one sort or another.
