Unbound. One page dated 16 October 1924 from Bath. Folded as mailed, else near fine or better, envelope present. Letter to a scholar at Columbia University named Hall, noting that "I know little or nothing about Beddoes personally except what my friend Mr. Gosse has published - and I myself have published about him critically. As to the 'circumstances' of a book on this subject good books on any subject are always admirable - bad ones not so." Presumably Saintsbury was referring to Dr. Thomas Lovell Beddoes, the English poet, dramatist, and physician. Accompanied by a typed transcript of the letter.
