The Heart's Journey

New York: Harper and Brothers, 1929.

Price: $150.00

Hardcover. First American edition. Modest edgewear, pencil notations on a few pages, else near fine in a good only dustwrapper with some loss of the spine and extremities with some internal tape repair. Very interesting provenance as this was Helenka Adamowska's copy with a gift inscription addressed to her by her old friend Edith Lindley, June 21st, 1929. Laid in is a small name card of Mrs. Charles Allen Lindley contained inside an envelope and hand addressed to "Mrs. Helenka Adamowska, S.S. Pennland, Red Star Line, Sailing Midnight, June 21st." Helen Tradusa "Helenka" Adamowska Pantaleoni was an American silent film actress and also founder of the U.S. Committee for UNICEF. She is the grandmother of actress Téa Leoni. Poetry.
