Padadena, Calif. The Association Fan Club, [late 1966].
Softcover. Folio. pp., photographically illustrated. Stapled photographic wrappers. Modest age-toning on the wrappers, a nice, very good copy. Signed by five of the six members, two on the front wrap: Gary Alexander and Russ Giguere; and three Inscribed at their pictures on their individual biography page: Ted Bluechel, Jr., Brain Cole, and Jim Yester. Appears not to be signed by Terry Kirkman (but bears two other unidentified contemporary signatures). The Association was a major transitional folk rock band with major hits *Cherish, Along Comes Mary, Never My Love* and *Windy.* Founding member Alexander left the band in May, 1967 to study meditation, Warner Brothers bought the bands record company Valiant in late 1966 and reissued their two albums under their own label at that time. This appears to predate both of those events, thus the attributed date. The signature of Brian Cole, who died at age 29 of a heroin overdose in 1972 is uncommon.
