Introductory letter from four of the female students to Watson asking permission to publish the address. Inscribed on the front wrap: "Rev. President Hale, D.D. from the Author with kind regards of P. Bullious." Albany Female Academy was founded in 1814 as a college preparatory school for girls, and is the oldest independent girls day school in the United States.
