Modest dampstain tidemark on upper right corner of all pages not appreciably affecting any text, modest tape repairs on two or three leaves, a horizontal line of cloth on the front board bubbled a little, a good only copy. A rare, early book by Baum, published the same year as *The Wonderful Wizard of Oz*. Only the second copy we've seen in 30 years. *OCLC* locates two copies (Columbia and Yale).
