Adventism Answered (The Sabbath Question)

Brooklyn, New York: Guide Printing and Publishing Company, 1905.

Price: $1,500.00

Hardcover. First edition. Octavo. 214pp. Light brown cloth stamped in black. Very slight soiling on the cloth, near fine or better. Inscribed in the rear of the volume (presumably mistakenly): "To Mr. Stephen T. Brooke with the best wishes of his friend. George Frazier Miller." Religious polemic by Miller, a South Carolina-born African-American rector of St. Augustine's Church in Brooklyn. He was an important associate of W.E.B. Du Bois, Alexander Crummell, and other important luminaries, and was one of the founders of the Niagara Movement. He later became a Socialist and ran for Congress on the Socialist ticket in 1918. An uncommon title, and seldom found signed.
