Calcium, New York: Madison Cooper, 1932.
Softcover. Quartos. Each issue is 16pp. Two issues (all published?). Stapled illustrated wrappers. Modest edgewear, small chip threatening on issue 2, else near fine. Madison Cooper, the editor and publisher made money in cold storage plants, and thenj switched his interest to flowers, and was publisher of many gardening magazines including "The Flower Grower". He later turned his attention to amateur sports, and built a fine baseball park in Calcium. This magazine covers most amateur sports: Olympics, bowling, basketball, football, golf, tennis, fishing, hunting, baseball, etc. Each issue has an article on baseball by J.G. Taylor Spink, and other articles including "A Chinaman Views Football", "Ice Basketball" and "My Philosophy of Fishing" by Mary Roberts Rinehart. Cooper contributed numerous articles and apparently couldn't held himself by writing an article on "How to Pot a Plant". *OCLC* locates no copies.
