Between the Covers

Unbound. Poster. Measuring 13¾" x 22". Painted in two colors through two stencils onto stiff poster stock. Signed by the artist Dudley Anderson on the lower right. A trifle soiled, still fine. Original vernacular illustration for a school musical featuring a circus scene with a big tent, trapeze artist, and a balloon seller in the foreground. Records indicate that Anderson was born about 1925 and became an engineer, presumably explaining his exacting use of the stencil!
