Hardcover. Three black and white photographs, each measuring approximately 14" x 9". A set of three landscape photographs taken in the Yukon Territory during the late 1930s by a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). They include a portrait of a man canoeing on a mist enshrouded Bennett Lake, a herd of caribou swimming across the Yukon River, and mountain sheep grazing high up on a rocky heath near the Watson River. The first photograph has a note on the verso indicating that it was taken by "guide Johnie John"; the other two only state that they were "taken by C.C.C." All three evoke the wild, open grandeur of this remote area of the Yukon.
