Near fine with some uneven toning to the front wrap and a spot of toning on the rear wrap but with no oxidation to the staples and fresh white pages. Signed by contributors Ron Padgett and Gerard Malanga. This issue features "From the Basketball Diaries," a two entry prose piece from Jim Carroll that would later be incorporated into his 1978 classic memoir *The Basketball Diaries*. Published when Carroll was just 17, these two entries dated Feb. 4 1965 ("We just got into town for the very spectacular National High School All Star Basketball Game.") and Feb. 5, 1965 ("After very poor breakfast Joe Slapstick calls aside Corky and I and lets us know he is giving us another chance and would be starting the game anyway.") were later incorporated into the book as Winter 66 (pages 153-155). These initial installments appeared a decade before the book which has since become a cult classic and the inspiration for the 1995 film of the same name starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
