Original black-stamped rose cloth. Somewhat shaken with hinges cracked, cloth lightly stained and worn, pencil underlining, a good copy of a book not well constructed. The author was professor of surgery at Rush Medical College and had served as surgeon-general of Illinois. Almost half of the book is devoted to Senn's travels in Russia and Siberia while most of the rest concerns Japan.
