Contemporary full hard-grain sheep, gilt spine. Two small tears to the upper right corners of pages 23-26, a very good copy. A scarce early American imprint, illustrated with 6 exceptional, unsigned, white-line wood-engravings: Hymn (frontispiece), Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, and another "Hymn" at the rear, "Breathe your still Song into the reaper's heart." Although not marked as such, this copy is from the library of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Peter Taylor and his wife, the National Book Award-nominated poet Eleanor Ross Taylor.
