The author's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel,
The Travels of Jaimie McPheeters (1958), is moderately scarce in fine condition, because the soft, uncoated dustwrapper rubs easily. Beyond that the author's books are usually modest in price. His 1961 novel
A Journey to Matecumbe was the source for a Disney film, and his first book
Adrift in a Boneyard (1947), though usually inexpensive, is hard to find in a nice example of the amusing Saul Steinberg jacket.
