Dance Night

New York: Farrar and Rinehart, 1930.

Price: $375.00

Hardcover. First edition. A bit of fraying at the crown, and a little soiling to the boards, a good copy without dustwrapper. The author's exceptionally uncommon fourth book, and considered the finest of her "Ohio" novels. Powell was a prolific, and well-regarded but until a relatively recent and well-deserved revival, mostly forgotten author. For forty years she was a valued jewel of the New York literary world and if you read her books it's easy to see why.
