Hardcover. Volumes 1 and 3 only. Thick octavos. Text in Greek and Latin. Each volume contains two parts, continuously paged. Volume 1: pp. XXIII, [5], 1-600, VIII [2] 601-1585 [6]; Volume 3: pp. XIII, [15] 1-1319 [9] + engraved frontispiece plate. Several woodcut head and tailpieces. Bound in 19th century half leather, gilt spines, marbled paper over boards. The leather is scuffed, wear to the edges and corners, else very good. From the library of Rev. Robert Jenkins of Lyminge, Kent (England), with his Ink ownership signatures (dated 1882) and note identifying the provenance of both volumes (giving the name and date of the sale, and catalog numbers). Later small ink ownership signature on the front endpapers. The first and third volumes of Theodoret's classic commentary (including his lengthy interpretation of the Pslams), with an interesting association.
