Inscribed by the author to Volney Streamer. Tannenbaum was a prolific early-20th Century literary scholar, bibliographer, and paleographer, best known for his work on William Shakespeare and his contemporaries. Streamer was an actor and later Librarian of the Players' Club, and the author of several books, including at least one on Shakespeare.
