Unbound. 15 3/8" x 12 3/8". Lithograph showing the Kensey Johns House in New Castle, Delaware. It was reproduced in Gertrude Kruse's book *New Castle Sketches* with the note: "Built by Chancellor Kensey Johns in 1823, this is an excellent example of Georgian architecture." Johns was born in 1759 and was Chief Justice of Delaware for more than thirty years. He became Chancellor of Delaware in 1828 and held the post until the constitution was changed in 1832. He died in New Castle in 1848. Limited to an edition of only 18 examples labeled "Kensey Johns House N.C. 2" and Signed by the artist. Print tanned with minor wear, protective mat has 13 1/2" cut on lower board, tape keeping two sheets together is tearing, tanned and worn along edges, soiled in places, about very good.
