Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1937.
Hardcover. First edition thus, with a new color frontispiece by Arthur Bechler. Fine in a lightly edgeworn, very good dustwrapper with a creased tear on the front panel. On the front fly is a long and interesting full-page inscription by the author's daughter, Margaret M. Lothrop, with details about the way she imagined the invisible presence of the Pepper children in her life with her mother.
