Philip MacDonald

Successful British mystery author and screenwriter, the grandson of 19th Century author George MacDonald, died in Woodland Hills, CA at age 79. His books include Patrol and Forbidden Planet, and among his screenplays was Alfred Hitchcock's Rebecca.
