First edition, preceding the trade edition. A small owner label on the front pastedown, vellum boards a bit splayed (as inevitable for this title) and lightly foxed, near fine lacking the slipcase. Number 37 of 40 copies printed on Imperial Japanese vellum and Signed by the author, of a total edition of 225. The rarest issue of what many consider Cather's most accomplished novel.
