First edition thus, the first hardcover edition and with a new introduction by the author. Originally published in 1936 only in a wrappered acting edition. Fine in a very near fine dustwrapper with light soiling and a 1/2" tear at the bottom of the front spine fold. Inscribed by the author: "To Margaret Steinberg -- cordially -- Ayn Rand. 11/18/68."
