First edition. Fine in an about fine dustwrapper with a faint mark on the spine, and two tiny tears on the rear panel cleanly repaired on the underside of the jacket with tape. A superior copy of this Pulitzer Prize-winning novel set during the Gold Rush. Adapted in 1963 into a short-lived television series with a young Kurt Russell in the title role, also starring Dan O'Herlihy, Charles Bronson, and the Osmond Brothers. A bulky and cheaply produce volume that is generally found worn.
