First American edition. Endpapers lightly soiled else fine in very good, clipped (but not price-clipped) dustwrapper with some tears at the bottom of the spine. Basis for the stage version with Vanessa Redgrave and then the film starring Maggie Smith, who won a Best Actress Oscar for the title role of the flamboyant but flawed Scottish schoolteacher. A very nice copy.
