Later printing of the Harper and Brothers' s edition with a label tipped to the front fly indicating that this is an advance copy of the Popular Library paperback edition, specially Signed by the author. Laid in is a letter from the paperback publisher presenting the book. Fine in near fine, spine-faded dustwrapper. An unusual issue of the western classic. A nice copy of this basis for the important John Ford-directed film featuring John Wayne and Natalie Wood, one of the defining films of the genre.
